East and West Contact and Dialogue:
5th International Conference of Contemporary China Studies (2025)
The Confucius Institute at the University of León has the pleasure of inviting you to participate in the international conference “East and West Contact: 5th International Conference of Contemporary China Studies” on 2-3 October 2025. The aims of the conference are to present the latest research and current issues in Spain and international studies on China, to provide a platform for an academic discussion of the various topics in China studies, to unite several generations and fields of sinologists in the Europe, and to give the scholars in the fields of China studies on opportunity to present their contributions. The conference invites proposals in the fields of China studies for individual, joint papers or for panels. We look forward to putting together a wide-ranging, multi-disciplinary research work in China studies being done in Spain and overseas.
Deadline for submission: Please send your research title, abstract (no less than 300 words) and registration form (attached with this page) before July 31, 2025 to [email protected]; Dr. Li Qiuyang.
Acceptance date of submission: September 10, 2025.

Contacto y diálogo entre el Oriente y Occidente: 5ª Conferencia Internacional sobre Estudios Chinos Contemporáneos se celebrará en la Universidad de León (España) del 2 al 3 de octubre de 2025. La Organización invita cordialmente a académicos y expertos a participar en el congreso, para debatir cuestiones relacionadas con la investigación sobre China en la actualidad.
Se invita a participar, tanto en los debates de las conferencias plenarias, como en los distintos paneles temáticos, presentando propuestas de ponencia, y ya sea en chino, español o inglés, así como a publicar sus trabajos en las posibilidades que ofrece la organización del congreso.
Está organizado por el Instituto Confucio de la Universidad de León, España.
Los temas y paneles que se plantean en esta ocasión abarcan cuestiones como la lengua, la cultura, la literatura, la traducción, la enseñanza internacional del chino, la antropología, historia, sociedad, y otros de interés en la investigación contemporánea.
